Our Coaches

Emanuele Nagliati (3rd level VA coach)

  • Emanuele has been playing volleyball and beach volleyball since 90’s (Uisp mixed, Uisp Eccellenza, Italian div1, Serie D) and coaching since 1996. He took the 1st certification as a coach in 2002 and the 2nd in 2003 attending courses at FIPAV (Italian Volleyball Federation). Course certification included more than 100 hours of lessons split into workouts managed by the best Italian coaches, lectures, practice sessions and match and training analysis.  Furthermore, as per the compulsory FIPAV continuing development program, he spent more than 400 hours in updating courses. He coached kids, juniors and adults, females and males, in almost every existing level up to the C category (Italian div1, serie D, Serie C, junior leagues). In 2010, his love for beach volleyball brought him to attend many courses with different coaches to improve the level of knowledge of this wonderful sport. Later, started to coach people in Beach Volleyball in Italy and Western Australia. In 2017 he also coached juniors between 9 and 11 years of age at Guildford Grammar School and UWA students. In Australia, he coached Div 3 women in 2020/21, SLR women in 2021/22 and Beach volleyball since 2015.

His strengths are:

  • Experience in team and events coordination and management,
  • Outstanding ability to communicate with players and guide them,
  • Excellent knowledge of athletic training and fundamentals teaching,
  • Ability to schedule practices, open games, and assess players’ performance,
  • Great ability in coaching juniors and young people.

Laura Mocca (3rd level VA coach)

Laura has been playing volleyball and beach volleyball since the 1990’s (Uisp mixed, Italian div1, Serie D) and coaching since 1996. She took the 1st certification as a coach in 2002 and the 2nd in 2003 attending courses at FIPAV (Italian Volleyball Federation).
Course certification included more than 100 hours of lessons split into workouts managed by the best Italian coaches, lectures, practice lessons and match and training analysis.

Furthermore, as per the compulsory FIPAV continuing development program, he spent more than 400 hours in updating courses. She coached kids, juniors, males and females, in almost every existing level up to D category.
In 2012, she attended her first beach volleyball course and from that point was hooked on coaching and playing Beach Volleyball. In Australia, she played indoor Volleyball in SLR in 2020/21 and Beach volleyball since 2015.

Her strengths are:

  • Strong volleyball playing and coaching experience with knowledge of latest training practices,
  • Excellent knowledge of athletic training and fundamentals teaching,
  • Ability to schedule practices and assess players’ performance,
  • Great ability in coaching juniors,
  • Wonderful ability to understanding the psychology of the athlete.

Romano Fracassini (3rd level VA coach)

Romano comes from a diverse international volleyball background spanning from player and coach roles in both Italian and Australian Clubs – In fact, after playing at a very competitive level in Italy (Milan and Rome), in 2000 moved to Australia and started to play and coach at Balcatta Volleyball club.

With this club won few seasons and the young teams he coached won Div. 3 and Div. 2 competitions for 2 years in a row. Romano also played at a competitive level in Indoor Beach Volleyball winning several premierships and becoming Australian Master champion in 2010
In 2012 discovered beach volleyball and after some training and tournament, at the age of 54, still qualified to play at AAA state series ATABT.

In 2017 participated in the World Master Games, the world’s most important master competition, winning a silver medal defeating strong international teams like Estonia, Finland, USA, Latvia and only loosing against the world champions Brazil.

His coaching it’s strongly supported by 43 years of competitive played Volleyball and Beach Volleyball and is based on game approach, mental strength and the ability to read game tactics.
